According to Korean media, the expected LG G3 flagship release date will be May 17th, and it will sport a QHD display (1440 x 2560 resolution). That shortens the typical annual upgrade cycle since the G2 a bit, but apparently LG doesn't want to leave much sales on the table to the Galaxy S5, like it did last year.

The screen diagonal is reported to be slightly larger than on the G2, to a speculated 5.5 inches, which would naturally mean quite the thin bezel all around, if LG wants to keep the overall size in check, too. Previous rumors pegged the rear camera to be 16 MP, probably with OIS tech, while the processor part rumor is more interesting, claiming LG's own Odin mobile chipset will be in there.

As for the alleged LG G Pro 2 phablet with QHD display that was supposed to be announced next month, this seems to be still in play, with a 5.9" screen diagonal bandied about, and unveiling around the MWC at the end of February, which would give LG a headstart before Samsung with QHD phones, warming up the bench until the G3 arrives three months after that.

Apple's annual merry-go-round of rumours and speculation seems to start earlier and earlier every generation. Rumours surrounding the iPhone 6 fired up before the iPhone 5S had even been officially announced in September 2013 so that now, as early as January 2014, we already have a boatload of information regarding what the successor model might be like.

Emphasis on the might, of course, because as always Apple is wrapped up tighter than a ridiculously tightly wrapped thing, so until it lets the cat out of the bag we can't know anything for sure.

As with previous models, a big chunk of the rumour pie rather optimistically focuses on the idea the iPhone 6 will be bigger than its predecessors, with a larger display.

Meanwhile, the idea of Apple regularly upgrading its chipsets has become somewhat predictable, in-line with its software. To the extent that, although the company threw a few curveballs with the massive overhaul that was iOS 7 and the upgrade to 64-bit architecture on the A7 chip, we can still confidently say we'll see a boost in power and optimisation, with iOS 8 and the A8 chip bringing these improvements.

Aside from this, there's talk of camera enhancements, solar power, mobile payments, styluses and liquid metal, amongst other things.

Read on to get up to speed with all the latest gossip on Apple's iPhone 6, aka, the iPhone Air, if some theories are to be believed.
iPhone 6 full spec revealed

A new report claims to have revealed "every last detail" of the iPhone 6's spec line-up.

The news comes via South Korean investment firm KDB Daewoo Securities, which in a note to investors listed the upcoming handsets key features.

The report reiterates previous rumours suggesting Apple will have multiple models to launch in different size categories. According to BGR, KDB Daewoo is "known for having inside sources that have accurately foretold companies’ plans on numerous occasions in the past." Make of that what you will.

It's claimed there will be a standard iPhone 6 model with a 4.7-inch or 4.8-inch display at a full HD 1920x1080 pixel resolution, and a larger phablet variant with a 5.5-inch display using a 2K QHD resolution at 2272x1280 pixels.

Internal storage for both models will include the usual 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants, plus a 128GB beast for those with lots of stuff to store. The battery will be rated at 1,800mAh while a 64-bit Apple A8 processor will use 2GB of RAM.

There isn't a great deal of detail about the camera other than to say it's rated at 8-megapixels while the front-facing secondary is a 3.2-megapixel setup. There's no mention of those enhanced autofocus or "Lytro" rumours we've heard of previously, but that doesn't necessarily rule them out either.

The report has a few curveballs though, rather than iOS 8 as previously suspected, iOS 7.2 is listed as the onboard software build. Another oddity is the idea of the iPhone 6 appearing in Q2 or Q3, where most reports are expecting September 2014 as part of Apple's usual anual cycle
