Storm Harry happened exactly when we are doing a preloading test on the recently installed caissons at Malta Freeport Terminal 2. The test consists of placing 32 shipping containers each filled with 60 tons of back fill to form an enclosure on Caisson 6, the cornerstone of this reclamation. The enclosed area is also piled up nearly 10m high with backfill. This temporary installation endured very well throughout the storm and so did the caissons that are now in their final position.

We also would like to thank all employees. We are very happy to report that we achieved an excellent level of preparedness. All sites and properties were very well secured and suffered no damage.
