Prisms Malta

From the 1st to the 3rd of July, around 25 autistic young people from Malta, Portugal, Greece, and Poland travelled to Brussels for the final international event of the Points of Connection project, coordinated by PRISMS Malta and funded by Erasmus+.
The highlight of the visit was an event held at the European Parliament, marking the culmination of three years of collaboration, learning, and meaningful participation. For many of the young people, this was their first time travelling abroad without their families, making the experience even more significant. Throughout the visit, they developed greater confidence, independence, and lasting friendships.
One of the most memorable moments was seeing some of the young people share their experiences and speak about the project at the European Parliament, demonstrating the impact of ensuring autistic voices are heard and valued.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Hon.Alex Agius Saliba for hosting us at the European Parliament, to the staff of Hon. Roberta Metsola for providing us with a tour of the Parliament, and to Autism-Europe for coordinating this wonderful event.
A special thank you also goes to Marie Claire Testa, Kim Grima, and Gabriel Sciberras for accompanying and supporting the Maltese group throughout the trip. Your dedication, encouragement, and care helped make this experience truly unforgettable.
This visit was far more than a project meeting—it was a celebration of inclusion, empowerment, and the incredible achievements of the young people who have been at the heart of Points of Connection from the very beginning.

🌟 Meet the CAPteens San Ġwann Leaders!
These dedicated young people are currently taking part in our Leadership Course, where they are developing the skills, confidence, and responsibility needed to lead others.
They will soon be taking on the important role of leading our CAPteens Live-In and, in the near future, will also be supporting and mentoring the younger groups within our youth centre. We are proud to see them growing into compassionate, capable leaders who are ready to make a positive difference in the lives of others. 💙
A huge thank you 🙏 goes to APS Bank for sponsoring this leadership course through CSR funding. Your support helps us provide more opportunities and fun activities for our members 💫✨💚
