From the greenest islands of New Zealand we are now in the biggest sandpit on Earth. Just gotta dip my toes in it and appreciate the space and texture. But not for too long they sand gets hot!
⏳ Dust, dunes, and unmatched vibes with a great crew.

Do you like travelling overseas? I am hosting a small meet-up this Sunday 21st, 3-5pm at Protocol bar Christchurch for people that like to travel. It’s to share stories, hear top tips etc. To kick people off I will do a wee run down of my recent West & North Africa trip.

It is part of a Nomadmania world wide meet up series. Nomadmania and Been are platforms to track countries and regions you have been to etc. There is no selling or anything. Just an excuse to catch up with other curious people.

To be honest I have been a bit slack getting round to organising this first NZ get together, but everyone has to start somewhere. Message me if you wanna know more or think you can make it. An rsvp would be good so I can get appropriate seating space, (and to ensure I am not sitting around like Nigel No Mates 😉)
I am aiming to do a second meet-up in Auckland later in the year as well.

I thought I was going to photograph camels.
Instead, I found personalities.

🐪One looked permanently unimpressed.
🐪One was completely focused on drinking.
🐪One young camel stayed close to mum.
🐪And two… riding on the back of a Ute truck… looked like they were discussing us!

Travel moments aren’t always the famous landmarks.

Sometimes they’re the unexpected little moments that make a place feel real.

The Sahara surprised me in more ways than one.

Which camel would you be?
