Shwe Daung Circus

To you who have followed the adventure of our circus in Burma, I regret to announce that we'll probably stop everything for the moment. Too complicated, too long to get some answers, too expensive, too risky to go further. Even though we did the hardest by bringing a circus to a country that was not waiting for us, even though we had 23,000 visitors and even though all were delighted with our show, it would be unwise to continue.
For the next season, we'd planned to tour the north of the country in Mandalay, Taunggyi, Bagan and Magwe. Many people did ask us to come back and realize this dream. "The idea is great, we are told, it must only work! ". Some sponsors were interested and others were promising a quick response... Alas, to do so, we need more guarantees, some support and a little more money.
It would be unfortunate, no one will know if our circus had a future in Myanmar. And I sincerely doubt that another dreamer more crazy than me will embark on such a venture one day ... The Shwe Daung was the first international circus to perform in Myanmar, I'm afraid it will also be the last!
Actually that's not 100% sure but it's probably the most logical and safest option. Let's say that the train is leaving the station and that we don't know if it will come back... I'll keep you posted !
