Dear Friends,
Composition, framing, and actor/actress blocking bring a visual story to life. When used effectively, they help introduce a character, reveal a mood, or heighten a conflict.
For a recent activity, I asked my students to take a photo of “a character”—specifically, a student. Using techniques like composition, framing, and blocking, they were challenged to capture creative and meaningful images that tell a story through visual choices.
I promised a prize for the most interesting photo, and now I need your help!
