At LB Microfinance Myanmar co.ltd, our mission goes beyond providing

Recently, we had the opportunity to visit a charcoal briquette manufacturing facility in the Magway region, where LB Micro has provided financing more than twice to support the growth of this business.

These charcoal briquettes, made from biomass such as charcoal dust, sawdust, rice husk, and other plant waste, are carefully pressed into honeycomb-shaped blocks. In Myanmar and many Asian countries, they serve as an important source of fuel for cooking and heating.

Seeing the production process firsthand reminded us that creating these briquettes is not an easy task. It requires hard work, skill, and dedication to transform raw materials into a useful final product that supports everyday life for many families.

What makes this journey even more meaningful is the social impact. The business owner has created multiple employment opportunities, contributing to local economic development while providing an essential product for communities.
