ခွဲစိတ်ပြီးတာတောင် သူ အရင်ကလို တက်ကြွတုန်းပဲ။

2. The coffee tastes as good as before.
ကော်ဖီက အရင်ကလို အရသာကောင်းတုန်းပဲ။

3. She speaks English as fluently as before, even after years of not practicing.
နှစ်တွေအများကြီး မလေ့ကျင့်ပဲ နေတာတောင်မှ သူမ အရင်ကလို English လို ကျွမ်းကျွမ်းကျင်ကျင် ပြောတတ်တုန်းပဲ။

"Service" ဆိုတာ "ဝန်ဆောင်မှု" ဆိုတဲ့ အဓိပ္ပာယ်ရှိမှန်း ကျွန်တော်တို့သိပြီးသားပါ။
English မှာ အသုံးများတဲ့ "Lip service" ဆိုတဲ့ အသုံးလေးရှိပါတယ်။ ဒီအသုံးက idiom ဆန်ဆန် သုံးတာမျိုးဖြစ်ပြီး "တစ်ခုခုကို နှုတ်ကနေပဲ ပြောပြီး တကယ်လက်တွေ့မလုပ်တာ" မျိုးကို ပြောရာမှာ သုံးပါတယ်။ "Pay" နဲ့ အများဆုံးတွဲသုံးပါတယ်။

Eg. He paid lip service to the idea of
teamwork but never helped his coworkers.
က အဖွဲ့အစည်းနဲ့ လက်တွဲလုပ်ဆောင်ဖို့ဆိုတာကို ပါးစပ်ကတော့ တတွတ်တွတ်ပြောနေပေမဲ့ လက်တွေ့မှာတော့ သူ့လုပ်ဖော်ကိုင်ဖက်တွေကို ဘာမှကူညီပေးခဲ့တာမျိုး မရှိပါဘူး။

Eg. Don’t just pay lip service to education — actually invest in schools and teachers.
ပညာရေးနဲ့ပတ်သက်ပြီး ပါးစပ်ကနေ အပေါ်ယံ ပြောမနေပါနဲ့ — ကျောင်းတွေနဲ့ ဆရာ၊ ဆရာမတွေအတွက် တကယ် ရင်းနှီးမြှုပ်နှံမှုတွေ လုပ်ပါ။

Eg. The company paid lip service to employee welfare without making real improvements.
ကုမ္ပဏီက ဝန်ထမ်းတွေရဲ့ ဖူလှုံရေးအတွက် တကယ့်လက်တွေ့ကျတဲ့ ပြုပြင်ပြောင်းလဲမှုတွေ မလုပ်ပေးဘဲ ပါးစပ်ကနေပဲ အပေါ်ယံ ပြောခဲ့တယ်။

Eg. Many leaders speak about equality, but some only pay lip service to it.
ခေါင်းဆောင်တော်တော်များများက တန်းတူညီမျှရေးအကြောင်း ပြောဆိုလေ့ရှိကြပေမဲ့ တချို့ကတော့ အပေါ်ယံသဘောလောက်သာ ပါးစပ်က ပြောနေကြတာပါ။

စကား‌ပြောဝါကျများ

1. The connection is intermittent.
လိုင်းက ပြတ်တောက် ပြတ်တောက် ဖြစ်နေတယ်။

2. The internet connection is sluggish.
လိုင်းတွေ နှေးနေတယ်။

3. My connection is lagging a lot.
လိုင်းက အရမ်း နှေးနေတာ။

4. The video keeps buffering.
Video က ထစ်နေတယ်။

5. You are frozen on the screen.
လိုင်းက ထစ်ပြီး မင်းမျက်နှာပဲ မြင်နေရတယ်။(ပြောချင်တာ လိုင်းထစ်ပြီး ထပ်မသွားပဲ မျက်နှာပဲ ပြပြီး ထစ်နေတာမျိုး)

6. The signal keeps dropping out.
လိုင်းကျနေတယ်။

7. The connection is disconnected easily.
လိုင်းက ဖြုတ်သွားဖို့ လွယ်နေတာ။(vpnချိတ်ထားတယ် ၅မိနစ်အတွင်း ပြုတ်တာမျိူးပေါ့)

8. The wifi signal is very spotty.
ဝိုင်ဖိုင်လိုင်းတွေက တိုက်လိုက် ကျလိုက်ဖြစ်နေတယ်။

9. ဖုန်းလိုင်းမအားဘူး။
The telephone line is engaged.

10. The connection is terrible.
လိုင်းကလည်း ဆုတ်ပြတ်သတ်နေတာပဲ။

သူမသာ ကိုယ်မသာ levelတူနေတဲ့အခြေအနေကို neck and neck with sb/sth ကို သုံးပါတယ်။

Eg. Kyaw Kyaw is neck and neck with Zaw Zaw in the classroom.
ကျော်ကျော်နဲ့ ဇော်ဇော်ဟာ စာသင်ခန်းထဲမှာ သူမသာ ကိုယ်မသာ တွေ ဖြစ်ကြတယ်။

Eg. The two horses are neck and neck with each other,so I can't decide which side to gamble.
မြင်းနှစ်ကောင်ဟာ သူမသာ ကိုယ်မသာ ဖြစ်နေကြတယ်၊ဒါ့ကြောင့် ငါ ဘယ်ဘက်ကနေ လောင်းကစားရမယ်ဆိုတာကို ဆုံးဖြတ်လို့ မရဘူး။

"Sleep" နှင့် ပတ်သတ်သော အသုံးများ

1. She is a light sleeper.
သူမက အအိပ်ဆတ်တယ်။
(အသံတိုးတိုးလေး ကြားရင်ကို နိုးတာမျိုးပါ)

2. He is a deep sleeper.
သူက အအိပ်ကြီးတယ်။
( ဘာအသံကြားကြား မနိုးတဲ့သူ‌မျိုးပေါ့)

3. The baby is falling into a deep sleep.
ကလေးက အိပ်မောကျနေတယ်။
Fall into a deep sleep= အိပ်မောကျသည်။

4. I have never talked in my sleep.
(Talk in someone's sleep= အိပ်နေရင်းစကားပြောတာ တနည်းအားဖြင့် ယောင်တာကိူ ပြောတာပါ)
ကျွန်တော် ဘယ်တုန်းကမှ မယောင်ဖူးဘူး။

5. I always sleep in on weekends as I have nothing to do.
ကျွန်တော် ဘာမှလုပ်စရာမရှိတာနဲ့ စနေ တနဂ်‌နွေ နားရက်တွေမှာ မနက်ပိုင်း နောက်ကျတဲ့အထိ အမြဲအိပ်တယ်။

6. The doctor gave me some sleeping-pills.
ဆရာဝန်က ကျွန်တော့်ကို အိပ်ဆေးတစ်ချို့ ပေးခဲ့တယ်။
Sleeping-pill= အိပ်ဆေး

7. He slept it off after being drunk.
သူ မူးနေတဲ့နောက်မှာ (အမူးပြေအောင်) အိပ်ခဲ့တယ်။
( Sleep off ဆိုတာ ဝေဒနာတစ်ခုခုကို သက်သာအောင် အိပ်တာကို ပြောတာပါ)
I slept off the headache to relieve it.
ကျွန်တော် ခေါင်းကိုက်သက်သာဖို့ အိပ်ခဲ့တယ်။

မင်း ဒီည သေချာ စဉ်းစားပြီးရင် မနက်ဖြန် မနက် ငါ့ကို အကြောင်းပြန်လို့ရတယ်။
(Sleep on something= ကိစ္စတစ်ခုခုကို တစ်ညလုံးစဉ်းစားပြီး နောက်နေ့မှာ ဆုံးဖြတ်တာကိူ ပြောတာပါ)

9. I used to sleep over at my grandma's house whenever I had a dispute with my mother.
ကျွန်တော် အမေနဲ့ စကားများတဲ့အချိန်တိုင်း
အဖွားအိမ်မှာ သွားအိပ်လေ့ရှိခဲ့တယ်။
( Sleep over= သူများအိမ်တွင် သွားရောက်အိပ်စက်သည်)

10. I could do it in my sleep.
ဒါလေးများ၊ငါအိပ်နေရင်းနဲ့တောင် လုပ်နိုင်တယ်။
(Idiomအသုံးလေးဖြစ်ပါတယ်၊ It is very easyလို့ ပြောတာနဲ့ အတူတူပါပဲ)

11. He happened to oversleep yesterday, so he got to work late.
သူ မနေ့က အအိပ်လွန်ခဲ့မိတယ်၊ထို့ကြောင့် သူ အလုပ်ကို နောက်ကျပြီးမှ ရောက်ခဲ့တယ်။
(Oversleep= အအိပ်လွန်သည်)

12. Sleepwalking commonly occurs in adolescents.
အိပ်ရင်းလမ်းလျှောက်ခြင်းဟာ ဆယ်ကျော်သက်အရွယ်မှာ အဖြစ်များပါတယ်။
(Sleepwalk= အိပ်ရင်းလမ်းလျှောက်တာ
အိပ်ရင်း မျက်လုံးပိတ်ပြီး မတ်တပ်ရပ်လမ်းလျှောက်တာကို ပြောတာပါ)
