Moldova Digital Summit

🙌 The Interoperability Arena at was everything we hoped for – and more challenging than we expected... which was exactly the point!
The European Digital Identity Wallet framework was up and running in a live, cross-border environment. Not a polished simulation, but a real stress-test – and that made all the difference.
🌍 This true European scale was driven by an incredible lineup of participants pushing the boundaries together:
🇫🇷 France (France Identité, Toppan Security)
🇳🇱 Netherlands (Animo Studios)
🇷🇴 Romania (CertSign)
🇺🇦 Ukraine (State Enterprise Diia)
🇲🇩 Moldova (Moldovan eGovernance Agency)
Before diving into the technical grit, the arena opened with a dedicated live demo session that provided the initial context before the teams moved on to the actual implementation work. Afterwards, it was time to look under the hood.
⚙️ The focus was clear: issuance and verification of PID and mDL credentials, alongside proximity presentation and selective disclosure flows. Teams simultaneously played the roles of Wallet Providers, Issuers, and Verifiers – and the scenarios didn't always go smoothly. They weren't supposed to. When something failed, that was the signal to investigate, adjust, and retest.
The EUDI framework spans multiple standards and protocol versions, and mismatches between different national implementations are real and expected. Finding them is the goal. The primary objective was never a perfect score – it was to surface the gaps, understand how to resolve them, and bring back hard-won lessons learned. This is how interoperability gets built across borders.
🚀 A massive thank you to every architect, developer, and team who showed up ready to fail, learn, and iterate. That's the harder skill – and you brought it. We aren't just imagining a unified digital Europe. We're debugging it, aligning it, and building it.
Let's keep going!

Business Stage
“Operations & Digital Transformation” was the final business session of the day at , bringing together experts to discuss what it really takes to build resilient, data-driven, and AI-ready organizations.
The session featured:
• Sergiu Țurcanu, Business Partner, Skalx.ai – “From Digital Transformation to AI Transformation”
• Andrei Perețianu, Regional Sales Manager, Palo Alto Networks – “Resilience in the Age of AI Cyber Attacks with Cortex XDR”
The discussion explored why digital transformation projects often fail, how organizations can accelerate internal AI adoption, the growing role of cybersecurity as a business enabler, and the importance of building the right data and infrastructure foundations for AI.
Speakers emphasized that successful transformation is not only about implementing new technologies, but also about aligning strategy, people, processes, and security to create lasting business value.
The session concluded with Cyber Investigation Mission, a Capture the Flag-style game organized by Orange, where participants had the opportunity to put their cybersecurity skills to the test through a practical, hands-on challenge.
