Deputy Secretary of State Landau and Ambassador Buchan joined U.S. business leaders in Casablanca for a roundtable focused on investment, innovation, and new opportunities in Morocco, including in the Moroccan Sahara. Participants exchanged ideas on how we can work together to create jobs and support entrepreneurship.

‎قام نائب وزير الخارجية لاندو بزيارة ضريح محمد الخامس في الرباط، حيث أعرب عن احترامه لإرث الملك محمد الخامس والملك الحسن الثاني، ولتاريخ المغرب العريق. وتفخر الولايات المتحدة بالوقوف إلى جانب شريك تاريخي مثل المغرب، إذ تمتد صداقتهما لأكثر من 250 عامًا.

Deputy Secretary of State Landau and Ambassador Buchan paid their respects at the Mohammed V Mausoleum in Rabat, honoring the legacy of King Mohammed V, King Hassan II, and Morocco’s rich history. America is proud to stand with a partner like Morocco, whose friendship with the United States stretches back more than 250 years.

صرح السفير ديوك بوكان: "تعكس مناورات الأسد الأفريقي 26 التزامنا الثنائي المستمر بالأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين. وبينما يحتفل بلدينا بمرور 250 عامًا على الصداقة، تستمر هذه الشراكة الدبلوماسية والعسكرية الدائمة في بناء قوات قادرة وقابلة للتشغيل البيني وتعزيز الأمن في جميع أنحاء المنطقة."

صُممت مناورات الأسد الأفريقي 26، التي استضافتها أربع دول، لتعزيز القدرات الأمنية الجماعية للولايات المتحدة والدول الأفريقية والحلفاء العالميين. ويختبر التدريب قدرة القوات الأمريكية والدول الشريكة على تنفيذ عمليات سريعة والعمل في ظل ظروف تهديد متعددة المجالات.

“African Lion 26 reflects our continued bilateral commitment to regional security and stability,” said Duke Buchan III, U.S. Ambassador to Morocco. “As our nations celebrate 250 years of friendship, this enduring diplomatic and military partnership continues to build capable, interoperable forces and strengthen security across the region.”

Hosted across four nations, African Lion 26 is designed to strengthen the collective security capabilities of the United States, African nations and global allies. The training stress-tests the U.S. joint force and partner nations’ ability to execute rapid deployments and operate under multi-domain threat conditions.
