In just a handful of years, the Cycladic island of Paros has morphed from a quiet, windswept island of modest family-run guesthouses into a place that everyone seems to be talking about. Yet even as the whitewashed alleys of Naousa can get pretty jammed in August, there’s so much to explore beyond them: traditional inland mountain villages and small fishing ports; pebbly coves and remote wild beaches; simple seafood tavernas and a slow-cooked goat served in someone’s home; and its artisanal traditions, from winemaking to ceramics. Our friends , who’ve been going for 30 years, guide us around. Read the rest of The Paros List at the link in bio.

This weekend kicks off the start of the summer season, at least for Americans who’ve grown up with the Memorial Day holiday. For us, it’s a moment that always conjures images of iconic New England summers—salty skin and sandy feet, lobster rolls and soft-serve cones eaten standing up, garage sales on lawns or in faded old barns… In this weekend’s Cape Cod and the Islands Travel Planner, we asked more than 20 friends and insiders—people with houses across the Cape and Islands, or who’ve been making the pilgrimage for years—to share everything they know, and they delivered, giving us the lowdown on the most charismatic towns to stay in; favorite realtors as well as charming and affordable hotels) the best hiking trails; donut shops, seafood shacks, and hard-to-get reservations; beaches for swimming, surfing or solitude; plus rainy-day backup plans and ferry and traffic hacks. And so so much more—read the Travel Planner at the link in bio!
