🎉 Today, Biosan turns 34.🎉

On 27 April 1992, two scientists from the Institute of Microbiology at the Latvian Academy of Sciences Dr. Vasily Bankovsky and Svetlana Bankovska founded a small enterprise in Riga with a clear belief: laboratory equipment should be precise, reliable, and built around the needs of the researcher.

Thirty-four years later, more than 376,000 customers in more than 124 countries rely on Biosan equipment. Our portfolio covers more than 80 devices across four categories: general lab equipment, bioprocessing, molecular diagnostics, and immunodiagnostics. From sample mixing, shaking, centrifugation, and incubation to cell cultivation, nucleic acid isolation, and photometry, our devices support research in genomics, proteomics, and cellomics. Quality is embedded in everything we do: ISO 9001:2015 certified since 2004, ISO 13485:2016 certified since 2022, and ISO 14001:2015 certified since 2025.
