Successful collaboration between CERATIZIT and RWTH Aachen University 🎓🤝

The Master’s block seminar "Werkzeuge aus Hartmetall" (Cemented Carbide Tools) at RWTH Aachen once again proved how successfully academia and industry can come together to deliver hands-on, practice-oriented teaching.

In collaboration with the Institute for Materials Applications in Mechanical Engineering (IWM), the Institute for Surface Engineering (IOT), and our CERATIZIT colleague Matthias Thiex, students once again gained in-depth insights into the entire value chain of cemented carbide production in January 2026—complemented by expert lectures, lab sessions, and direct exchange with specialists.

The highlight: the excursion to the CERATIZIT production site in Mamer, Luxembourg. 🏭
