We often hear that many adolescents are scared to approach nurses because they fear they will be judged, dismissed, or met with too much seriousness.

This was not the case during our Menstrual Hygiene Day celebration. We could not have asked for a better nurse from Vitality Health . She was warm, friendly, welcoming, and full of laughter. She created a safe space for the girls to learn, ask questions, and feel comfortable talking about their bodies.

She spoke to the learners about menstruation, period pains, and practical tips on how to manage them. These are the kind of health conversations young people need, conversations that are clear, kind, and free from shame.

Thank you to Vitality Health Lesotho for supporting our work and for showing us what adolescent-friendly health care can look like. Our girls deserve health workers who make them feel seen, heard, and safe.
