Today we are reminded of the fact that the future is not something we inherit but rather actively shape. Sustainability is not just about protecting the environment but involves protection of our communities, our livelihoods and the generations that follow. Let us lead boldly, question authority, live consciously and build a world where both people and the planet can thrive. Happy Earth Day!

As we close the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, I stand reminded that this campaign is more than a moment, it’s a commitment we live every day.

Violence ends where accountability begins. Real change starts when we acknowledge harm, choose reflection over denial, and commit to repair instead of silence.

Let’s continue building communities where women and girls are safe, heard, and protected, not just for 16 days, but always.

Today marked the completion of our needs assessment study with a fruitful dialogue held in Mahobong Leribe.
It was inspiring to see youth's enthusiasm and interest in continuing engagement with us beyond this study. Their willingness to collaborate reflects the passion and determination of Lesotho’s youth to be part of shaping their communities and future. We are grateful for the support of European Union in LesothoUNICEF LesothoSkillshare International Lesotho

Today, our team successfully conducted a needs assessment action research study in Hlotse #13, focusing on youth unemployment and civic engagement in governance. The study sought to understand the challenges and opportunities young people face in accessing decent employment and participating meaningfully in governance and decision-making processes.

We sincerely appreciate the time and thoughtful responses shared by the youth who took part in the pre-assessment questionnaire. Their valuable insights will guide our next steps in designing inclusive and impactful youth programs.

Our next visits will be to Pitseng and Mohobong, where we will continue engaging with youth to further strengthen evidence-based approaches toward youth empowerment.

Special thanks to the European Union Lesotho, Unicef Lesotho and IOM Lesotho for their continued support
