Raji meets Cummings behind closed door.

Less than two weeks into his third term, Liberia Football Association (LFA) President Mustapha Raji has held a closed-door meeting with Alternative National Congress (ANC) political leader Alexander B. Cummings at the LFA headquarters in Swankamore.

According to sources, the meeting was arranged by ANC member Melton Yoko, a close confidant of Raji and former candidate for District #6 representative seat in the 2023 elections in Montserrado County.

Raji’s invitation to Cummings comes amid strong backing from senior Unity Party officials, including LPRC Managing Director Amos Tweh, Liberia Maritime Authority Commissioner Neto Lighe and Lofa County Senator Momo Cyrus and a host of top Unity Party government officials.

The private talks have raised questions among Unity Party insiders about Raji’s political loyalty, given his past support for former President George Weah.

Football stakeholders and political observers are now awaiting official updates on the outcome of the discussions.
