President Joseph Tarty Sankon makes major appointments affecting key positions within the union, urges all appointees to perform their respective functions in accordance with the constitution and laws of Rigusu. The president also extends his gratitude and appreciates all Executive Council Members for their kind efforts to the smooth operations of the River Gee University Students Union.

As it is a requirement by our constitution that the Executive Council confirms all appointments of the president, and in reference to the Recent Resolution of the Executive Council empowering the president to make appointments to those Vacant Elective Positions within the Union, the president is pleased to appoint these following comrades and looks forward for your kind consideration to confirm them to their respective positions in order to have smooth operations within the union.

These comrades are full and committed members of Rigusu and have been rendering their tireless services to the growth and development of Rigusu.

The president believes that when confirmed, they will have positive impacts and work diligently to the success of the union.

Greetings distinguished colleagues and veterans

As a constitutional requirement that RIGUSU holds a General Meeting on every Third Sunday of a given month, the Leadership is pleased to announce that this Sunday, April 20, 2025 will be its First General Meeting for the First Quarter of its Administration on the University of Liberia Main Campus at 3:00 PM prompt.

We invite all students to be present and on time to discuss the growth and development of Rigusu.

Congratulations to the Newly Elected Leaders of the River Gee University Student Union (RIGUSU) UMU Chapter

We extend our warmest congratulations to Mr. Courage Dweh, from the J.J. Roberts College of Education at the United Methodist University, on his election as President of the RIGUSU UMU Chapter.

This achievement, secured on a white ballot on November 13, 2024, speaks to the trust and confidence placed in him by the student body. We believe Mr. Dweh will bring renewed dedication, vision, and leadership to the union, fostering the growth of RIGUSU’s core values and objectives.

We also congratulate Ms. Rita Nollen as Vice President for Administration and Mr. Sam Kanweah as Secretary-General.

Together with Mr. Dweh, we are confident this team will work collaboratively to uphold the mission of the RIGUSU UMU Chapter and ensure a bright future for all its members.

In addition, we extend our deepest gratitude to Mr. Jarpu Detopu, outgoing President, for his committed leadership since 2020.

His service has left an enduring foundation for future leaders, and his legacy will continue to inspire the student community for years to come.

Once again, congratulations to Mr. Dweh, Ms. Nollen, and Mr. Kanweah on their new roles, and a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Detopu for his invaluable service. We look forward to a united and progressive tenure under the new leadership.
