Jeety Rubber Introduces New Cash Incentive for Drivers, Offers Extra US$5 Per Ton Delivered

SALALA, LIBERIA — June 5, 2026 — In a move aimed at recognizing the vital role transport drivers play in Liberia’s rubber industry, Jeety Rubber LLC and Salala Rubber Corporation (SRC) have announced a new incentive program that will provide drivers with an additional US$5 for every ton of rubber delivered to the company.

The initiative, unveiled by the company’s management, was approved by Chief Executive Officer Mr. Jeety and Director General Mrs. Marilyn T. Jeety as part of efforts to reward the dedication and hard work of drivers who transport rubber from farmers across the country.

Under the new arrangement, drivers will receive an extra US$5 per ton of rubber delivered to Jeety Rubber, separate from the transportation fees already paid by rubber owners. This means that a driver transporting 10 tons of rubber will earn an additional US$50 from the company on top of their regular transport payment.

According to Mrs. Marilyn T. Jeety, the decision was made after recognizing that transport drivers have made significant contributions to the growth and success of Jeety Rubber LLC but have often received little direct recognition for their efforts.

“Drivers have been an important part of our journey since the establishment of Jeety Rubber LLC,” Mrs. Jeety said. “This additional benefit is our way of saying thank you for the years of commitment and hard work. We also hope it will motivate drivers to continue supporting farmers and transporting more rubber to our facilities.”

The company believes the incentive will not only improve the earnings of drivers but also strengthen the rubber supply chain by encouraging faster and more efficient transportation of rubber from farming communities to processing centers.

Management confirmed that the new benefit takes effect June 5, 2026, and will apply to all qualifying rubber deliveries made to Jeety Rubber LLC.

The announcement has been welcomed by many within the rubber sector, who view the incentive as a positive step toward recognizing the contributions of transport drivers, a group often considered the backbone of the industry’s logistics network.

Jeety Rubber LLC and Salala Rubber Corporation reaffirmed their commitment to supporting all stakeholders in Liberia’s rubber value chain and expressed appreciation to drivers for their continued partnership and dedication.

MONROVIA, LIBERIA — President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has officially launched Liberia’s National Security Strategy (2026–2036), unveiling a comprehensive roadmap designed to strengthen the country’s security architecture and address emerging threats over the next decade.

The landmark strategy was launched at the Executive Mansion in Monrovia in the presence of senior government officials, heads of security institutions, and key stakeholders from Liberia’s security sector.

The National Security Strategy outlines the country’s security priorities and provides a coordinated framework aimed at enhancing national preparedness, improving collaboration among security agencies, and protecting Liberia’s peace, stability, and development goals.

Speaking during the launch, President Boakai emphasized the importance of a proactive and unified approach to national security, stressing that sustainable peace and economic progress depend on a secure and stable environment.

The newly unveiled strategy marks only the second major review of Liberia’s national security framework since the end of the country’s civil conflict.

It follows the adoption of the previous National Security Strategy in 2018 and reflects evolving security realities both within Liberia and across the region.

Government officials say the document will serve as the principal guide for security planning, policy implementation, and institutional coordination from 2026 through 2036.

It is also expected to strengthen the protection of Liberia’s national interests while supporting sustainable growth, democratic governance, and national prosperity.

The launch signals a renewed commitment by the Boakai administration to modernize Liberia’s security sector and ensure that the country remains resilient in the face of emerging challenges, including transnational crime, cyber threats, border security concerns, and other risks to national stability.

As Liberia looks toward the future, the National Security Strategy (2026–2036) is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping a safer, more secure, and prosperous nation for all Liberians.
