🌊 FOR BEACH LIBERIA | WORLD OCEAN DAY 🌊

Today, we celebrate the beauty, power, and life our oceans provide. Our beaches and oceans are more than destinations — they sustain communities, protect biodiversity, and shape our future.

This World Ocean Day, let’s commit to cleaner beaches, reduced plastic pollution, and stronger action to protect marine life. Every small effort creates lasting change.

One Ocean. One Planet. One Responsibility.
Together, let’s keep Liberia’s oceans blue for generations to come. 💙🌍

For Beach Liberia on Friday, May 29, 2026, participated in the National Validation Workshop for Liberia’s Climate Change Learning Strategy, held at the Cape Hotel in Mamba Point, Monrovia.

The event was organized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of Liberia in collaboration with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) through the United Nations Climate Change Learning Partnership (UN CC:).

The workshop brought together key stakeholders from government institutions, civil society organizations, development partners, academia, and environmental advocacy groups to review and validate the country’s proposed Climate Change Learning Strategy.

For Beach Liberia was honored to be among the invited organizations contributing to discussions aimed at strengthening climate change education, awareness, and capacity-building initiatives across Liberia.

The validation process marks an important step toward ensuring that climate change knowledge and learning are integrated into national development efforts and accessible to communities throughout the country. Participants engaged in constructive discussions on the strategy’s objectives, implementation framework, and expected outcomes.

The workshop also provided a platform for stakeholders to offer recommendations and inputs to enhance the effectiveness of the document before its final adoption.

For Beach Liberia reaffirmed its commitment to promoting environmental sustainability, climate action, and community engagement, while supporting national efforts aimed at building a more climate-resilient Liberia.

The National Climate Change Learning Strategy is expected to serve as a roadmap for enhancing climate literacy, fostering informed decision-making, and strengthening the country’s capacity to address climate-related risks and opportunities in the years ahead.
