Official Response: Clarification Regarding the Islamic Learning Center

We are writing to provide essential context and facts regarding the footage being circulated. The location identified in your report is not a "hiding place," but rather a recognized Islamic Learning Center located in the Day Break Mouth Open community.

Our organization, Call To Al-Tawheed, has personal experience with this institution and its mission. We would like to clarify the following points to the public and the government:
Established Presence: This is a place of education and worship. On October 2, 2022, during the holy month of Ramadan, our organization personally visited this site to donate two bags of rice to support their charitable efforts.

The Building's Condition: While the report describes the building as "unfinished," it was actually 90% complete and nearing full operation. Unfortunately, a devastating fire accident occurred at the site, which significantly set the project back and resulted in the current state of the structure.
Peaceful Intentions: The individuals seen at this location are students and educators, not "jihadists." Islam is a religion of peace, and this center is dedicated to teaching those peaceful values to the community.

We urge the public to verify information before labeling religious institutions with harmful terms. Spreading misinformation not only hurts the local community but also threatens the peace and religious tolerance that Liberia prides itself on.
We welcome any formal investigation by the government, as it will surely confirm that this site is used for nothing other than peaceful religious learning.

O Allah, on this day, I ask You for what pleases You, and I seek refuge in You from what displeases You, I ask You to grant me the opportunity to obey You and not disobey You, O One who is generous with those who ask.

اَللّـهُمَّ إني أسألك فيهِ ما يُرْضيكَ، وأعوذ بِكَ مِمّا يُؤْذيكَ، وأسألك التَّوْفيقَ فيهِ لاِنْ أطيعك وَلا أعصيك، يا جَوادَ السّائِلينَ .

Lord! I plead to You to enable me to achieve whatever pleases You, I seek refuge with You from whatever offends You, and I plead to You to grant me the ability to obey You and not to disobey, O most Generous One of all those to whom pleas are made!
