Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, spotted being hauled in handcuffs to a Federal court in New York, after capture by US forces.

Maduro, along with his wife, son and three others, is accused of working with drug cartels to facilitate the shipment of thousands of tons of co***ne into the US. They could face life in prison if convicted.

The Venezuela President is set to appear in court this afternoon (5 Jan, 2026) for a legal proceeding that will likely kick off a prolonged legal fight over whether he can be put on trial in the US.
