The School’s Two Major Achievements in 2025
A lot of things were done between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025; however, there are two things that we consider the two major achievements of the year.
The first milestone achievement was the fixing of a flush toilet within the school main building for the use of both the kids and the staff. It was a super major achievement in 2025. And we are grateful to all those who donated toward the project.
The second major achievement of the year was the Board’s decision to have reversed its decisions changing the school’s name from Help Liberia Foundation Community School to Future Leaders Academy and increasing the school fees. The decision to go back to the original name and go back to the poor-children-school status was not only bold, mature, selfless, and responsible, but it was also poor-children-oriented, especially the fact that the reversal was done in less than two months of the announcement of the new policy. We are happy we reversed those decisions. We are also grateful to all the individuals whose words and actions caused us to realize the mistakes and to swiftly correct it.
Thanks to all for helping us to end 2025 quite well!
Happy New Year!

School Toilet Fixing Making Progress
Once, again, we wish to report that the fixing of the inside toilet for our school in Buchanan City, Future Leaders Academy, is making tremendous progress.
The administration of the school is glad and proud that the school will soon have a better toilet for the students and the staff, as well as parents and others who may visit the school. We are super happy!
So far, the necessary cuts and chiseling have been done in the building, several pipes have been appropriately installed, the bio-digester septic tank has been dug beside the school building, the appropriate fittings for the bio-digester have been fixed, blocks have been laid for the septic tank, and so forth.
Indeed, great progress is being made on the fixing of the school toilet, and we are super happy about it!
Once, again, our heart-felt thanks and appreciation to all those individuals and institutions whose good-will contributions or donations have made this possible.

School Toilets Fundraising Successful – Thanks to All Donors
The fundraising recently launched for the purpose of fixing toilets for the kids and the staff in the school has successfully come to an end, with the total of USD686 raised for the project.
The total estimated cost of the project was USD683, but we were able to raise USD686, which is USD3 more than the estimate. This is a significant achievement for all – the donors, the school, the kids, the staff, the parents, the Board, etc.
The total amount raised from fundraising came from six individuals and one institution, named, respectively, as follows: Mary Smith, Isabelle Eriksson Mozo, Anna Dobrowolska, Catherine Walker, Catherine Jamieson, Lena Thorne Marner, and Pepperadventure.com.
Pepperadventure is a Swedish-based tourist and expedition organization that organizes periodic tourist-related trips and travels for people in Europe, who want to visit Liberia.
Pepperadventure is the leading organization in Europe for special tourist-related trips to Liberia, and the cost is reasonable. It has been in existence for more than ten years. It is owned and operated by Lena and her husband (Anders).
On behalf of the Board, the kids, the staff, and the parents, we would like to extend special thanks and appreciation to the six individuals, as well as Pepperadventure, for willingly and selflessly donating to the toilet project! We remain profoundly grateful!
The construction work will begin, and we will update you all on the progress made at specific points.
Once again, a very big THANK YOU to all of you for your kindness! Thanks a lot for remembering the kids in Liberia, especially in Buchanan! We did it together!
