The dream and vision that Upali Dassanayake had for developing the Pannala Racing Circuit continue to live on.

Among the deceased were four officials of the racing event who were stationed as flag marshals. The other victims were civilians who were spectators of the event.

The deceased were identified as follows:
- Shivakumar Dhanushika
- Muththusamy Udayakumar
- Chamath Niroshan
- Ashen Heenatigala
- Rasika Abeynaike
- Aruna Shantha Upaligamage
- Ganesh Kamalanath

The Racing brothers..Late Upali Dassanayake, the creator and founder of Pannala International Racing Circuit, and his brothers. We honour the life of Parakkarama Dassanayake,younger brother of Upali today as he takes the last journey in life.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our senior race rider Rally Deen from the 60s. He was a great rider known by the nickname "Dare Devil" and he also represented Sri Lanka in overseas events.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all who mourn his loss. Rest In Peace Deen, you will be missed!
