Before entered our homes, Sri Lanka already had a .
The coconut tree was our “Tree of Life.”
Leaves became shelters.
Coconut was part of daily meals.
Shells became bowls, cutlery, jewelry, and everyday tools.
Nothing was wasted. Everything had purpose.
Plastic didn’t only nature — it slowly erased , local wisdom, and the sustainable lifestyle our people once lived.
Through Impact Center By ZeroPlastic this culture is now being shared with the world again.
Tourists and local craftsmen working together on a simple coconut shell is more than an activity — it is a reminder of the life we had before plastic invasion.
So far, more than 1000 travelers have experienced this zero plastic mindset and the culture Sri Lanka once proudly lived by.
By the end of the year 2026, the impact numbers will speak for themselves. 🇱🇰
