🎓 NIE Convocation 2026 – Third Session 🎓

The National Institute of Education (NIE) proudly conducted the Third Session of the NIE Convocation 2026 on 8 July 2026 at the BMICH, Colombo, celebrating the academic achievements of 1,098 graduates.

The Convocation was held under the patronage of Senior Professor O.G. Dayaratna-Banda, Director General of the National Institute of Education.

The occasion was graced by Dr. Harsha Aturupane, Program Leader for Sri Lanka and the Maldives – Human Development, World Bank, as the Chief Guest.

The Convocation Address was delivered by Dr. Asmara Romola Rasool, Director of the Postgraduate Institute of English, Open University of Sri Lanka.

Graduates were conferred the following qualifications:

🎓 Master of Education (MEd)
🎓 Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)
🎓 Bachelor of Education (BEd)
