Continuing our recovery highlights, we’re grateful to recognize the relief initiative carried out in partnership with the National Child Protection Authority🤝

Through this collaboration, emergency educational and household support, including school books and dry rations, was provided to 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟰𝟬𝟬 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 across 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 in 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲, 𝗡𝘂𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝘆𝗮, helping ensure children can safely continue their education. 🇱🇰

It’s been a month since Cyclone Ditwah devastated Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰💔 While the initial shock has passed, thousands of families are still struggling to rebuild their lives and livelihoods.

We’ve been deeply moved by the incredible relief efforts led by volunteers, community groups, and organizations across the world and on the ground. Their work from day one has saved countless lives and brought hope in the darkest days. 🙏

At Educate Lanka, our key focus has been to support what comes next.

We’ve launched the Sri Lanka Recovery & Education Fund with an ambitious goal of raising $100,000+ to support:

🔹 Continued short-term and emergency relief for affected communities;
🔹 Medium- and long-term recovery and rebuilding through education, including economic relief, education essentials, and long-term education funding so affected students can continue learning without interruption.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors - and a major matching commitment from an institutional partner - we’ve already made significant progress toward this goal.

But the need on the ground is still immense, and every additional contribution truly matters. All U.S. donations are tax-deductible under our 501(c)(3) status.
