Sri Lanka Insurance paid the largest claim ever in the history of Sri Lanka Insurance pertaining to Bankers indemnity insurance.
The Rs.157,484,139/- worth claim was settled to Bank of Ceylon Thalawa Branch for a burglary claim.

The cheque of the claim was handed over to Mr. D.P.K. Gunasekara – General Manager Bank of Ceylon by Mr.Chandana L . Aluthgama CEO of Sri Lanka Insurance and Mr. A.R.Mallikarachchi ,AGM Administrative Services of Bank of Ceylon, Mr. H.M.Gajadeera Arachchi, Chief Manager Supplies Department/Ceybank Insurance of Bank of Ceylon, Mr. Lalith De Silva, Head of Distribution - General Insurance of SLIC, Mr. Milanga Chandiram, Senior Manager Corporate Business Division, Ms. Achintha Jayawardhane, Asst. Manager for Public Sector of SLIC were also presented at the occasion.
