Students’ Wellbeing Programme
A Students’ Wellbeing Programme was successfully conducted at
J/ Koddady Namasivayam Vidyalayam, a mixed school, on 30th January 2026 from 12.00 p.m. to 1.30 p.m. at the school hall.
The programme was organized by AHC Shanthiham under the Tamil Union Hearts funding, upon the request of the Jaffna Zonal Director of Education.

Students Wellbeing Programme
On 17th December 2025, 2.15hrs (10.00 Am to 12.15Pm) interactive workshop on Life Skills, Career Guidance, Stress Management, Effective Leisure Time Use, and Substance Use Awareness was successfully conducted at J/St. James Girls’ School, Jaffna, following a request from the Principal through the Department of Education Jaffna Zone. The program was organized by AHC-Shanthiham in collaboration with the Department of Education’s Career Guidance Coordinator. A total of 50 students and 7 teachers participated actively in the sessions. Sponsored by Tamil Union Herts

AHC Shanthiham conducted a Clinical Clerkship Programme for 23 Medical students from Faculty of medicine Jaffna on 25 November 2025.The session introduced students to the organization’s vision, services, and the impact of social and environmental factors on mental health, while emphasizing key professional values such as empathy, confidentiality, and non-judgmental practice, along with stress management techniques. Students also toured the facility and expressed high satisfaction with the programme.

Practicum Visit – Eastern University Students
Third-year General Degree students from the Faculty of Arts and Culture, Eastern University, visited AHC Shanthiham on 18 November 2025 as part of their practicum.The session provided insights into counselling ethics, the counselling environment, and the counsellor–client relationship, along with key concepts such as empathy, self-disclosure, and positive regard, enhancing students’ practical understanding of counselling practices.
