பௌதீக விஞ்ஞானப் பிரிவில் ICT-யை ஒரு பாடமாகத் தெரிவுசெய்தால் பல்கலைக்கழக வாய்ப்புகள் குறைவாக உள்ளதாக மாணவர்களைச் சிலர் தவறாக வழிநடத்துகிறார்கள்.

ஆனால் உண்மை என்னவென்றால், பௌதீக விஞ்ஞானப் பிரிவில் ICT ஒரு பாடமாகத் தெரிவு செய்த மாணவர்கள் பௌதீக விஞ்ஞானப் பிரிவிலுள்ள 8 பிரதான கற்கைநெறிகளுக்கும், அத்துடன் பல்வேறு பாடப்பிரிவுகளிலிருந்து மாணவர்கள் விண்ணப்பிக்கக்கூடிய 27 பொதுவான கற்கைநெறிகளுக்கும் தாராளமாக விண்ணப்பிக்க முடியும்.
