🍴 Foodies Hangar – Proposed Food Court

📍 Horana, Sri Lanka

Foodies Hangar is a proposed commercial food court project designed as a vibrant stopover destination for people travelling along the road while also serving as a lively weekend hangout spot for the surrounding community.

The project was developed from the ground up, including the architectural design, spatial planning, and interior design concept. The building is designed as a steel-structured development wrapped with corrugated metal sheets, creating a strong industrial and rustic character that reflects the concept inspired by road culture.

The design language takes cues from road elements, incorporating asphalt textures and signage-inspired colour accents such as dark grey and yellow throughout the façade and interior spaces. Exposed steel structures, metal finishes, and open spatial planning further enhance the rugged yet welcoming atmosphere.

With a total floor area of 10,000 sq.ft, the development features two floors and a variety of spaces designed to accommodate diverse customer experiences. Large open areas, double-height volumes, and an atrium space create a dynamic and comfortable environment for dining, socializing, and entertainment.

🏡 Private Residence – Hokandara

📍 Hokandara, Sri Lanka

This 3,500 sq.ft private residence is a bespoke house project designed to meet the client’s specific lifestyle needs while creating spacious, comfortable, and functional living spaces for everyday use.

Located in the suburban setting of Hokandara, the house follows a modern–rustic design concept, combining clean architectural forms with warm, tactile materials. The material palette features white finishes, cut cement textures, black metal accents, and natural timber, creating a balanced composition of modern simplicity and rustic character.

Designed as a unique home tailored to the client’s requirements, the layout includes five bedrooms, generous living and dining areas, kitchen and pantry spaces, a mini bar, rooftop area, and a double car porch, ensuring both comfort and functionality for contemporary family living.

🪑 Custom Furniture & Display Units

🔆As part of the Supermarket transformation, all furniture units were fully custom-designed to create a unique retail experience. Every display unit and storage system was carefully planned to maximize functionality, ergonomics, and visual appeal, enhancing both customer experience and operational efficiency.

🔆The design process followed anthropometric dimensions to ensure ease of use for all customers and staff, while the layout was optimized for smooth circulation and product visibility throughout the supermarket.

🔆Colours, materials, and finishes were selected to strengthen the brand identity and create a cohesive, modern look that complements the newly rebranded Ananda Super. Every detail—from display racks to storage solutions—was tailored to reflect the supermarket’s distinctive character and customer-focused design philosophy.
