🌟 Exciting News from the Children's Day Celebration 2024! 🌟

Celebrated by the Department of Probation and Child Care Services on October 28, 2024 (Monday) at Velioya Lower Division, this International Children’s Day event brought together the community under the powerful theme, "Protect and Treat Every Child Equally." The Norwood Divisional Secretariat, Village Child Development Committee - Velioya, and supportive partners like World Vision Lanka, WeLead Lanka, along with community well-wishers, local organizations, the Bright Women's Club, and the sports and savings groups made this day possible through their dedicated collaboration.

The celebration was filled with inspiring cultural performances, all carried out with the participation of the children, designed to raise awareness among children and parents, along with awards and special recognitions! Distinguished guests and community leaders were honored for their tireless efforts toward child development, as well as celebrating our children, awarding certificates to Velioya VCDC members, and presenting scholarships to two outstanding university-bound students. The talent and enthusiasm of our young ones shone throughout the event!
