We believe that truly great food begins with the finest ingredients, which is why we take pride in serving dishes made with fresh, locally sourced produce. Our daily baked bread adds a comforting warmth and flavour to every bite, and we’ve carefully selected high-quality ingredients from Bahrain that we personally cherish, ensuring that each dish is not only delicious but also nourishing.
Coco & Date is the fulfilment of a childhood dream, born from the cherished memories of growing up in Al Bait Al Oud in Manama—my grandparents' home. There, I witnessed the warmth of my grandmother's afternoon gatherings, where friends and neighbours would come together, and her gift of storytelling filled the air with magic. This instilled in me a deep love for bringing people together. Being half Bahraini and half Sri Lankan, both of my homelands are known for their genuine warmth and hospitality, where making every guest feel at home and sharing food and stories is a cherished tradition.
Coco & Date blossomed in the heart of Galle Fort as a space where stories and connections flourish, blending the multicultural heritage of my beloved homelands into every dish. We’re committed to crafting a unique fusion that celebrates the best of both worlds.
