Scout Officials of Colombo gathered for a high-impact planning and strategy meeting on Wednesday, 3rd June 2026, mapping out the months ahead while sharing knowledge, experiences, and best practices to strengthen Scouting across the district.

Key discussions focused on Youth Programme Delivery, Leader Training, Membership Growth & Development, Standards & Quality Assurance, Media & Outreach, and upcoming district initiatives and events.

Together, we plan, collaborate, and lead with purpose.

A glimpse into the welcoming of the Sri Lankan Contingent to the Jamboree site and the colourful Opening Ceremony of the 1st National Scout Jamboree of Bhutan 2026, which officially commenced today, 26th May 2026, in Paro, Bhutan 🇱🇰🇧🇹⚜️

The Opening Ceremony was graced by Her Excellency Sherig Lyonpo Yeezang De Thapa, Minister of Education of Bhutan.

Senior Scout Aadithya Abeysundara of the 60th Colombo Scout Troop is representing Sri Lanka alongside Mr. Amil Abeysundara – Assistant Chief Commissioner and Mr. Saminda Jayasekara – Headquarters Commissioner.

It is a huge honour to be part of this historic occasion as Bhutan hosts its very first National Scout Jamboree, and a proud moment to see Colombo Scouts represented at this milestone event.

The contingent also had the privilege of meeting the Chief Commissioner of Bhutan, the Chief Commissioner and officials of the Bharat Scouts & Guides, together with several Scouting leaders from across the sub-region as activities officially commenced.

The Jamboree atmosphere already looks vibrant and full of friendship, culture, and adventure — wishing the contingent an unforgettable experience ahead. 🌍
