Sri Lanka has introduced a free 30-day Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) scheme for tourists from 40 countries, effective from 25 May 2026. Eligible travelers will receive a free double-entry tourist ETA, while Maldivian nationals will continue to receive a 90-day visa under the existing bilateral agreement. Visitors staying beyond 30 days can apply for visa extensions with applicable fees.
