Even in the most dire moments- women keep turning up- for themselves- their children and the next generation.

Women come together in small numbers to make lasting impacts to us all. In Sri Lanka we have time and time again benefited through their strength- in war- in conflict- during the economic crisis when they fed children when governments couldn't handle challenges- when climate impacts have pushed her to the brink but she has still held on to return back to cultivation and livelihood efforts.

Women's Day is a reminder for us to celebrate this strength, promote women from community to leadership roles and continue in our movement for
