Many Sri Lankans hike this paved path with about 5000 steps to reach the top where there is a shrine which is said to contain Buddha’s footprint. The best times to visit this trail are January through May, but climbing Adam’s Peak is possible during the off-season too.

The most significant thing about off-season is the massive rainfall through the day, creating amazing scenery around, making waterfalls and water streams pouring down on the stairs. However, due to the weather conditions, I recommend to climb the mountain in daytime.
