Fun fact: Every element of this cake (inside and out) was made atleast twice 🥲 Roller coaster ride of a cake this was 🌚

Took a break this month with a limited amount of baking for family and friends. And this was an order I definitely couldn’t say no to. Painting on cakes makes me excited 🙊
Believe me the most stressful part wasn’t the design. It was making sure that the fillings didn’t overflow even with the whipped cream dam around the perimeter.

The insides of the cake are made of vanilla chiffon cake with orange syrup filled with layers of passion fruit curd, homemade custard cream and meringue disks.

Another dad’s birthday cake 💙

I haven’t tried making a galaxy cake before. Let along a square galaxy cake 😅
Handling whipped cream as a frosting is a bit difficult cause it’s not as firm as buttercream but this came through alright 💙
Inside is 4 layers of orange lime infused vanilla chiffon cake filled with passion fruit curd and fresh whipped cream. Another new combination I loved making.
