Sri Lankan history talks of a Femme Fatale. She was bold. She was powerful. She was evil. And she was stunningly beautiful. This in none other than Queen Anula. It is said that she had at least four husbands and she poisoned them to death! She was the first regional ruler in Asia according to sources.

Even though she committed her killings over a period of time, I drew around five men laying dead at her feet just to make the painting more dramatic. Also she is holding the vial of poison, with its toxic flume, and an eerily calm smile on her beautiful face.
