Sri Lanka has taken a commendable step forward with the launch of the first annual report on the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Code, a milestone that reflects the country's commitment to unlocking the full potential of women entrepreneurs.

This is not just a report. It is a national commitment to unlocking the immense potential of Sri Lankan women. With female economic participation currently at 31%, bridging the access to finance gap is essential if we are to drive sustainable and inclusive growth.

Supporting this initiative alongside the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has been a rewarding experience. It is encouraging to witness the progress made in just over a year, and we look forward to seeing how this will shape the future of women entrepreneurship in Sri Lanka.

The session was conducted by Haresh Perera, Enterprise Technology & Performance Leader, Deloitte Sri Lanka & Maldives, who shared valuable insights on how individuals can build credibility, increase visibility, and create meaningful professional impact through authenticity, consistency, and value creation. Participants also gained practical guidance on leveraging platforms such as LinkedIn to strengthen their professional presence and share thought leadership effectively.

The session also emphasized the importance of aligning personal branding with organizational values, developing strong professional behaviors, and continuously enhancing communication, networking, and self-development skills to support long-term career success.
