I Do Parties

In this endless, eternal journey of life, we meet guardians and protectors along the way. Some come in human form, some as art, and some as pets. They appear during our hardest times when we’re going through something difficult to bring hope and purpose back into our lives, just when we’re about to give up on everything.

I met my furry guardian about 6 years ago, abandoned on the road. Since then, I’ve felt that he’s been fighting invisible battles for me, protecting me from dark forces I knew nothing about.

One day, he went missing. It’s been a few months now. That day, I was away. I’ve never felt such a strong need to go back and check on him before leaving, but that particular day, I did. I even took a step back to do it but then left, as my ride had arrived. When I returned, he was gone. Disappeared.

I still regret not going back to see him. It was another hard lesson about ignoring my intuition, about not listening to my inner voice. Yet, I still feel his presence, the protection and the shield he carried around me all these years.

This is my farewell and tribute to all that he did for me, to the battles he fought on my behalf to keep me safe. I will always feel your love and your presence through this art.

Rest easy my friend, my Booda. Until we meet again …
