More responsibilities.
More deadlines.

And somewhere in between,
the woman who once waited at the school gate for us
starts waiting for our phone calls instead.

She still smiles the same way when she sees us.
Still asks if we’ve eaten.
Still prays for us before she sleeps.

But now… her hair is grayer.
Her walk is slower.
And time feels a little more precious than before. ❤️

Maybe life didn’t move fast.
Maybe we just forgot to pause long enough
to hold her hand back.
