විශිෂ්ඨවූ රෝගී සත්කාර සේවාවක් සපයන වඩාත් සංවිධානාත්මකම සුවසේවාව 1990 සුවසැරිය බව අවිවාදිතය. එවන්වූ සේවාවක් සපයන, මහජනතාවට ළගින්ම සිටින සුවසේවාවකට නායකත්වය ලබාදීමට ලැබීමද ගෞරවයක් කොට සළකමි. 1990 සුවසැරිය ආරම්භ කොට හෙටට (28) වසර පහකි. එබැවින් ජූලි 28 දිනට යෙදෙන පස්වෙනි සංවත්සරයට විෂය භාර අමාත්‍යවරිය ලෙස මාගේ සුභාශිංසන එකතු කරනු ලබන්නේ හදපිරි සතුටිනි.

අප රටේ ගිලන් රථ සේවාව බොහෝ විට සිදුවූයේ රෝහලක සිට තවත් රෝහලකට වුවත් 1990 සුවසැරිය හරහා අලුත් අත්දැකීමක් ලබාදෙමින් නිවසේ සිට රෝහල වෙත යාමට අවශ්‍ය පහසුකම ලබාදීමට කටයුතු කිරීම වැදගත් කොට සැලකිය යුතුය. එහි ඇති විශේෂිතම කාරණය වන්නේ එය සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම නොමිලේ ලබාදෙන සේවාවක් වීමයි. නිවසේදී අසාධ්‍ය තත්වයට පත්වන රෝගියෙකු මිනිත්තු 12කටත් අඩු කාලයකදී රෝහලක් වෙත ගෙනයාමට සුවසැරිය කණ්ඩායම ප්‍රතිචාර දක්වන අතර ඒ වෙනුවෙන්ම සැකසූ ක්‍රමවේදයක් සුවසැරිය සතුය. රෝගියාට අවශ්‍ය ප්‍රථමාධාර සේවාව ඇතුළුව හදසි අවස්ථා කළමනාකරණය කරගැනීමේ ශක්‍යතාවයකින් යුත් සුවසැරිය හුදු ගිලන් රථ සේවාවක් සපයන කණ්ඩායමක් පමණක් නොවේ. ඔවුන් කැපවීම, වගවීම සහ වගකීම කරටගත් පුහුණු කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයකින් යුක්ත කණ්ඩායමක් බව කිවයුතුය.

1990 සුවසැරිය හරහා ලංකාව පුරා නාගරික සහ ග්‍රාමීය ජනතාව වෙත විශාල සේවාවක් ඉටුකිරීමට හැකියාව ලැබී ඇති අතර දිනකට සේවාව ලබාගැනීමට ලැබෙන ඇමතුම් ප්‍රමාණය 5000කට අධික අතර රෝගීන් රෝහල්ගත කිරීම් දිනකට දහස ඉක්මවනු ලබයි. කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය 1394ක් වූ සුවසැරිය සතු ගිලන් රථ සංඛ්‍යාව 297කි. එහි ධාරිතාවය වැඩිකිරීමට අතිගරු ජනාධිපතිතුමාගේ අවධානය යොමුවී ඇති අතර අලුතින් ගිලන් රථ 112ක් එක් කිරීමට අවශ්‍ය කටයුතු සූදානම් කෙරෙමින් පවතී.

වසර පහක කාලය තුළ සුවසැරියෙන් ඉටුවූ කාර්ය භාර්ය පිළිබදව අවධානය යොමු කිරීමේදී සේවාව ලබාගැනීම වෙනුවෙන් මේවන විට ඇමතුම් 4170125ක් සුවසැරිය වෙත ලැබී ඇති අතර රෝගීන් වෙනුවෙන් රෝහල්ගත කිරීම් ඇතුලුව සිද්ධීන් 903438කට සෘජු දායකත්වය ලබාදී තිබේ. කොවිඩ් 19 මැඩලීමේ සටනේදී සුවසැරියේ කාර්ය භාර්ය සුවිශේෂී එකක් වූ අතර කොවිඩ් දෙවන රැළ්ලේ සිට මේ දක්වා රෝගීන් 67962ක් රෝහල් කරා ගෙනයාමට දායකත්වය ලබාදී ඇත.

රටේ ජනතාවට දැනෙන සේවයක් සිදුකෙරෙන සේවාවක් ලෙස සුවසැරිය සේවාව රටේ ජනතාවගේ විශ්වාසය දිනා ඇති මෙහොතක පස්වෙනි සංවත්සරය සමරන මොහොතේ මෙවැනි සේවාවක් ආරම්භ කිරීමට දායකත්වය දැක්වූ සියලු පාර්ශවයන්ටත් සභාපතිතුමා ඇතුළු සියලුම කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයටත් මාගේ සුභාශිංසන පිරිනමන අතර කොවිඩ් 19 හමුවේ නොපැකිළිව සේවය ඉටුකරන සියලු දෙනාටම මාගේ කෘතවේදීත්වය පිරිනැමීමට මෙය අවස්ථාවක් කර ගනිමි.

“Five Years to Suwaseriya
Well done to the people”

Undoubtedly, the 1990 Suwaseriya is a well-organized healthcare service providing excellent patient care to the people in Sri Lanka. I am also honored to be able to lead a service that provides such a service and is close to the public. Tomorrow (28) completes five years since the 1990 Suwaseriya began. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that I add my congratulations and wishes as the subject Minister to the fifth anniversary.
Although the ambulance service in our country often took patients from one hospital to another, there was no facility to transport patients from home to a hospital and this facility is provided through the 1990 Suwaseriya which is a completely free service. The Suwaseriya team is committed to transporting critically ill patients to a hospital in less than 12 minutes at and has a specialized system in place.
Suwasariya is not just a team of ambulances with the ability to manage emergencies, including first aid, they are a team of trained staff with commitment, accountability and responsibility.
Through the 1990 Suwaseriya, the team has been able to provide a great service to the urban and rural population throughout Sri Lanka, receiving over 5,000 calls and hospitalization of over a thousand patients per day. Suwasariya has a staff of 1394 and 297 ambulances. His Excellency the President has focused on increasing its capacity and arrangements are being made to add 112 new ambulances to the present fleet.
Suwaseriya has so far received 4170125 calls for assistance during its five years and has directly contributed to 903438 incidents including hospitalizations of patients. Since the second Covid 19 outbreak Suwasariya has contributed to the transportation of 67962 positive patients to hospitals.
Suwasariya service has won the trust of the people at the grassroot level of the country. On the occasion of the Fifth Anniversary, I would like to extend my congratulations to all those who contributed to the launch of this service and to the staff, including the Chairman and the Biard if Directors. I also take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all those who have unwaveringly served Covid19.
