John Keells Foundation

Launched in 2007 by John Keells Foundation in partnership with FARO, the Rural BPO Initiative was founded on the belief that where you live should never limit your potential. By establishing Sri Lanka’s first village-based BPOs in Mahavilachchiya, Seenigama, and Jaffna, it has opened doors for rural youth, including countless young women, to build careers in finance and accounting from their own communities. With training in leadership and communication, these professionals have turned geographic barriers into stepping stones, contributing meaningfully to InfoMate, a John Keells company.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the women breaking barriers, proving that talent knows no boundaries.

2007 දී ජෝන් කීල්ස් පදනම විසින් FARO සමඟ හවුල්කාරිත්වයෙන් ග්‍රාමීය BPO මුලපිරීම ආරම්භ කරන ලදී. එහි නිර්මාණය කරනු ලැබුවේ, ඔබ ජීවත් වන වටපිටාව අනුව කිසි විටෙකත් ඔබේ හැකියාව සීමා නොකළ යුතුය යන විශ්වාසය මත ය. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පළමු ග්‍රාමීය BPO ආයතන මහවිලච්චිය, සීනිගම සහ යාපනය යන ප්‍රදේශවල ස්ථාපිත කිරීමෙන්, තරුණ කාන්තාවන් ඇතුළු බොහෝමයක් ග්‍රාමීය තරුණ
තරුණියන්ට, ඔවුන්ගේම ප්‍රජාවන්ගෙන් මූල්‍ය හා ගිණුම්කරණ වෘත්තීන් ගොඩනගා ගැනීමට දොරටු විවර කර දී තිබේ. නායකත්වය සහ සන්නිවේදනය පිළිබඳ පුහුණුව සමඟින්, මෙම වෘත්තිකයන් ඔවුන්ගේ වටපිටාවෙන් එහා ලෝකයටත් නව පියවරක් ඉදිරියට තබමින්,ජෝන් කීල්ස් සමාගමක් වන InfoMate සඳහා අර්ථවත් ලෙස දායක වී ඇත.

මෙම ජාත්‍යන්තර කාන්තා දිනයේදී, දක්‍ෂතාවන්ට සීමාවන් නොමැති බව ඔප්පු කරමින්, කාන්තාවන් බාධක බිඳ දැමීම අපි සමරමු.

2007 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜோன் கீல்ஸ் அறக்கட்டளையால் FARO உடன் இணைந்து தொடங்கப்பட்ட கிராமப்புற BPO முன்முயற்சி, நீங்கள் வசிக்கும் இடத்தில் உங்கள் திறனை ஒருபோதும் கட்டுப்படுத்தக்கூடாது என்ற நம்பிக்கையின் அடிப்படையில் நிறுவப்பட்டது. மகாவிளாச்சியா, சீனிகம மற்றும் யாழ்ப்பாணத்தில் இலங்கையின் முதல் கிராம அடிப்படையிலான BPO-க்களை நிறுவுவதன் மூலம், எண்ணற்ற இளம் பெண்கள் உட்பட கிராமப்புற இளைஞர்கள் தங்கள் சொந்த சமூகங்களிலிருந்து நிதி மற்றும் கணக்கியலில் தொழில் வாழ்க்கையை உருவாக்க கதவுகளைத் திறந்துள்ளது. தலைமைத்துவம் மற்றும் தகவல் தொடர்பு பயிற்சியுடன், இந்த வல்லுநர்கள் புவியியல் தடைகளை படிக்கற்களாக மாற்றி, ஜோன் கீல்ஸ் நிறுவனமான InfoMate-க்கு அர்த்தமுள்ள பங்களிப்பை வழங்கியுள்ளனர்.

இந்த சர்வதேச மகளிர் தினத்தில், திறமைக்கு எல்லைகள் இல்லை என்பதை நிரூபிக்கும் வகையில், தடைகளை உடைக்கும் பெண்களை நாங்கள் கொண்டாடுகிறோம்.

We are honoured to announce that artist Sandaru Seneviratne was awarded the Deshamanya Ken Balendra Memorial Award for Best Emerging Artist at Kala Pola held on 8th February. The award was presented by Krishan Balendra, Chairperson of the John Keells Group.

This inaugural presentation held profound significance, as it was the first award conferred in memory of Deshamanya Ken Balendra, a visionary leader whose unwavering commitment to excellence and the arts left an indelible mark on Sri Lanka.
