From 31 December 2025, the Green Channel facility discontinued. The Fast Track channel will be phased out from 31 March 2026. These changes form part of the transition to the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Programme.

Compliance, documentation, and record-keeping will take on increased importance under the AEO framework. The shift means that moving cargo through Colombo will require clearer adherence to standards and closer coordination.
