💧Every drop matters… and every household has a role to play.

In North Lebanon – Meniyye and Denniyye, through the project “Restoring Water Services and Increasing Awareness on Water Conservation”, Funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and implemented by Lebrelief, awareness activities were carried out to promote sustainable water use.
In Nabi Youchaa, the Lebrelief team met with local residents and shared practical awareness messages on water conservation, climate change, and wastewater management.
To turn awareness into daily practice, water-saving devices were distributed to approximately 450 households, including float valves for water tanks, water-saving faucets, and showerheads.

في شمال لبنان – المنية والضنية،
ومن خلال مشروع "إعادة تأهيل خدمات المياه وتعزيز الوعي على ترشيد استهلاك المياه"، المموَّل من قبل الوكالة الإسبانية للتعاون الدولي من أجل التنمية (AECID) والمنفَّذ من قبل جمعية الإغاثة اللبنانية (Lebrelief)، تم تنفيذ أنشطة توعوية لتعزيز الاستخدام المستدام للمياه.
وفي منطقة النبي يوشع تحديدًا، التقى فريق Lebrelief بالأهالي وشاركهم معلومات توعوية عملية حول ترشيد استهلاك المياه، التغير المناخي، وإدارة مياه الصرف الصحي.
ولتحويل الوعي إلى ممارسة فعلية، تم توزيع أدوات لتوفير المياه على نحو 450 أسرة، شملت عوامات لخزانات المياه، حنفيات موفّرة للمياه، ورؤوس دوش موفّرة.

خطوات صغيرة اليوم… لأثر كبير بكرا.

We were pleased to welcome the Spanish delegation led by Ms. Eva Granados, State Secretary for International Cooperation, and representatives from AECID and the Spanish Embassy in Lebanon during their visit to our water project sites in North Lebanon 🇪🇸🇱🇧

The visit showcased ongoing activities under the AECID-funded project “Restoring Water Services and Increasing Awareness on Water Conservation in North Lebanon,” implemented by LebRelief. Through rehabilitating water networks in Syr and Deir Ammar and supporting the maintenance of 18 boreholes across North Lebanon and installing solar farm for Nabi Youchaa borehole. the project is improving access to safe water for over 400,000 people.

The delegation visited the solar farm in Minieh – Nabi Youchaa, helping ensure reliable and sustainable energy for water production. A special thank you to the Municipality of Minieh for donating the land and supporting this important initiative.

We extend our sincere thanks to AECID, the Spanish Government, the Spanish Embassy, the North Lebanon Water Establishment, and local authorities for their continued trust and collaboration. This visit reflects Spain’s strong commitment to sustainable development and solidarity with the people of Lebanon, particularly in the water sector.
