FELT.Connection

It has been some time since the herd and I posted something.
As I read Gabor Mate’s new book, I am reminded of so much knowledge from@studies my own journey.
Trauma comes in many forms most of which he says has not registered on the medical radar screen.
I was taken by the sentence and reminded of the fact:
“Trauma is when we are not seen and known”
…. And so it is …

The love between a mother and her child comes in any form be it human or dog or horse or cat or whatever your baby is.. The dynamic is the same the feelings are the same. To lose one’s baby is a parent’s worst life experience. Sudden loss can lead to complicated grief. Very different then grief. It’s a trauma that requires a-lot of work to move on from before accepting the loss. In addition, trauma and grief do not necessarily require “the death” of the baby. Removal from the parent is equally traumatic leaving one helpless and desperately seeking resolution. Complicated grief does not have resolution, you just learn to accept and co exists with your pain.
Broken hearts don’t mend as easily as society wants them to…
