FUNDRAISING DAY 2: The Cat Who Was Supposed To Di.e

First thing THANK YOU❤️ for many months no one fought for us the way you did yesterday, we were able to close the shelter rent all❤️

But our crisis isn’t over. We still need to raise $20,300 to cover the debts that kept 200 animals safe and alive🙏🏻

Today, I want to share Dumbo story❤️

When Dumbo was rescued in April 2024, no one believed he would survive.

A car had run him over. His leg was broken, internal bleeding, and his tongue had been split in half.
Days passing but he is getting worse, until we had to consider euthanasia, but I believed in him, and one day he just showed us he was ready to fight too❤️

Today, Dumbo is the kind of cat who reminds me why I do this. He’s affectionate, gentle, and constantly looking for attention. Looking at him now, it is hard to imagine that there was ever a time when we thought we might lose him.

But this is what my mission is all about second and 100 chances because money is an obstacle but I refuse to believe this green paper will not let us have a fair fight for everyone ❤️

But a few weeks ago, Dumbo got into a fight with another cat. It wasn’t even really his fight. One swipe was enough to traumatize his ear and cause it to fill with blood, creating a painful swelling called an aural hematoma.

For days, we had to drain the blood manually just to relieve the pressure and pain. Every day we removed around 6 ml of blood, and every day it would fill again.
He stopped acting like himself, he barely moved or ate.
Always leaning his head against the wall!

The surgery to fix it cost $350.

Money that, honestly, the Surgery is was today🙄
But there was no way I was going to let him stay in pain because my bank account said no.

So we did the surgery.

Today, I am asking for your help covering his surgery and helping us continue the bigger fight to save our shelter.

He survived because he had a place to recover, a place to be loved, and people willing to fight for him.

Please help us keep that place alive.❤️

PLEASE SAVE THIS POST AND DONATE❤️

I wish loving them hard enough could pay for food.
I wish sleepless nights could cover rent.
I wish crying over dying cats could somehow save them for free.
But this year has broken us in ways I cannot even explain.

Since January, everything in Lebanon has become worse.
Prices keep exploding. Work keeps disappearing and Instagram is making us invisible with their new algorithm.
People all over the world are struggling just to survive this economic collapse.
And donations… slowly disappeared with it, but despite your own hardships so many of you did not give up on us❤️

But the truth is our shelter is surviving on less and less every month while the costs keep rising, the w.ar did not end just the media is not sharing our pain.

More animals abandoned, abused, neglected, bo.mbed … and I genuinely cannot do anything about it anymore.
Last month I almost shut the shelter down but I cannot survive without them, I am their mother until the day they are adopted or until the day they die.
So I kept fighting for all of them.

This video is just us asking for FOOD.
We need $2,400 within the next 10 days to cover cat food because last month’s bill is still unpaid. (THIS IS WITHOUT THE MEDICAL FOOD)
But food is not the only bill, we have Rent + Litter + Shelter expenses (Water, electricity, maintenance...) + salaries + Medication + Vet bills (blood tests, hospitalization, Emergencies, Surgeries, vaccines, spaying/Neutering…) Monthly around $10,000.

And we still have 62 rescued dogs that cost almost $8,000 every month.

I know the world feels heavy for everyone right now.
But if you’ve ever loved an animal… then you know why I can’t give up on them.

So please… help THEM❤️

Because right now Instagram is barely showing our content, and engagement is the only way these cats get seen.
And these animals deserve to be seen.

They deserve at least one person who refuses to abandon them.
Please help me be that person for them.
