Every year the Environmental Working Group (EWG) releases two lists on pesticide levels in produce: the Dirty Dozen & the Clean Fifteen 🍓🥑🥦

🧪 The Dirty Dozen, listed in order from most to least contaminated, includes fruits and vegetables with the highest levels of pesticide residues.
👉 These are best bought organic, especially for babies and young children.

🌿 The Clean Fifteen, ranked from the cleanest, includes produce with the lowest levels of pesticide contamination, making them fine to buy conventionally grown (non-organic).

These lists help you prioritize when to buy organic 🤍.

The Clean Fifteen and Dirty Dozen refer to the list of fruits and vegetables with the highest and lowest pesticide residues.
The Dirty Dozen lists produce with the highest pesticide residues, so are best bought organic. While the Clean Fifteen includes produce with the least pesticide contamination, so they don’t need to be organic.
