نظمت لجنة “Womena” التابعة لشبكة الحرية الليبرالية AHLN جلسة تفاعلية عبر “زوم” بعنوان: “القيادة والصمود تحت الضغط: النساء القياديات وسط الحرب”، بمشاركة نساء من مختلف المناطق اللبنانية، في إطار دعم المرأة والوقوف إلى جانبها في ظل الظروف الصعبة التي يمر بها لبنان.

AHLN Statement on Regional Escalation

The Al Hurriya Liberal Network expresses deep concern over the accelerating military escalation across the Middle East, including military exchanges initiated by U.S. and Israeli strikes against Iran, followed by Iran’s retaliatory attacks impacting several Gulf Cooperation Council countries and affecting the security and stability of states including Jordan and Cyprus. Together, these developments have triggered a widening regional conflict. Continued confrontation threatens civilian lives, economic stability, and the sovereignty of states across the region. In Lebanon, the authority to decide war and peace must rest exclusively with the Lebanese state. Hezbollah has once again assumed the decision of war outside the framework of the Lebanese state, dragging the country into a full-scale confrontation and exposing its people to devastating consequences.

AHLN condemns all unilateral military actions that fuel escalation, including recent American and Israeli strikes, as well as Iran’s retaliatory attacks and reliance on proxy forces. The actions by all sides entrench cycles of violence, expose civilians to grave danger, and undermine regional stability rather than enhance security.

Violence and proxy warfare are not pathways to democratic change. Military escalation and regime change by force have consistently produced institutional collapse and prolonged instability, not freedom or accountability. Durable political transformation can only emerge from the sovereign will of societies themselves, through internal civic and political processes rather than through regional warfare.

The Middle East stands at a dangerous crossroads. Preventing wider conflict requires immediate de-escalation, respect for national sovereignty, and the rejection of externalized violence. AHLN remains committed to peaceful, accountable political development and the strengthening of sovereign institutions across the Middle East and North Africa.

شبكة الحرية الليبرالية : لا لاستخدام العنف او قمع التعبير وللتمسك بالحوار والتفاوض كمسار للانتقال الديمقراطي !

تشهد حقوق الإنسان في مختلف أنحاء منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، تراجعًا متزايدًا، فيما تُنتهك مبادئ ميثاق الأمم المتحدة بشكل متكرر. ويستمر الاعتماد المتنامي على القوة والعسكرة في التقدّم على حساب الشرعية الديمقراطية، والمساءلة المؤسسية، وسيادة القانون، مما يضعف آفاق التوصل إلى حلول سياسية مستدامة.

إن الأوضاع في إيران واليمن والسودان وغزة، إلى جانب هشاشة الوضع في لبنان، والسياق السياسي والأمني بالغ الحساسية في سوريا، تُجسّد عمق الأزمات الإقليمية الراهنة. وتعكس هذه التطورات المترابطة تحولات جيوسياسية أوسع، وتفاقم مخاطر عدم الاستقرار المطوّل، وتفكك الدول، وتآكل الأطر السياسية والمؤسسية.

من هنا فإن شبكة الحرية الليبرالية تدين وترفض بشكل قاطع استخدام القوة لإسكات المحتجين السلميين أو قمع التعبير المدني. فلا يجوز استخدام العنف أو الإكراه أو الحرب كوسائل للسيطرة السياسية أو كمسارات للانتقال الديمقراطي.

وتؤكد ضرورة الالتزام بالحوار والوساطة والتفاوض، المدعومة بمقترحات ملموسة، وعمليات سياسية ذات مصداقية، وانخراط دولي منسّق يستند إلى القانون الدولي وحقوق الإنسان.

كما ترفض شبكة الحرية الليبرالية خطاب الكراهية، وتجريد الإنسان من إنسانيته، والسرديات التي تشرعن العنف. وتتبنّى نهجًا عمليًا قائمًا على الحلول، يركّز على حماية الأرواح البشرية، وصون مؤسسات الدولة، وتعزيز السلام من خلال الوسائل الديمقراطية والدستور.
