Hello, crypto enthusiasts ๐จโ๐พ After exploring BRC-20 tokens in our last discussion, it's time to investigate another Bitcoin innovation, the Ordinals. Let's jump right in!
What are Bitcoin Ordinals? ๐ค
The ordinals protocol was launched by Casey Rodarmor in January 2023. Distinct from Ethereum's popular nonfungible tokens (NFTs), Bitcoin Ordinals aim to imbue Bitcoin's smallest unit, the satoshi, or sat, with unique identities. With this, you can now inscribe digital content be it text or art directly into the Bitcoin ๐ผ
How Do They Work? ๐ ๏ธ
At its core, Ordinals theory deals with labeling each satoshi with an "ordinal number" that is uniquely identifiable. Then satoshis could be linked with a collectible or an asset, turning them into transactional atomic units that can be individually tracked and traded.
Bitcoin Ordinals make use of an inscription process. In simpler terms, you can attach any form of digital content onto a , making it a unique digital artifact. Initial tools for this were relatively technical, requiring node operation, but newer, no-code options are emerging for the less technically inclined ๐ฉโ๐ป
Ordinals vs Traditional NFTs ๐ฅ
Bitcoin Ordinals and Ethereum-based NFTs differ fundamentally in how they are stored and valued. While rarity in Ethereum NFTs often comes from attributes of the art itself, the rarity of a Ordinal could be influenced by its block context - say, being the first satoshi in a new block or a mining adjustment period. This provides a fresh outlook on asset valuation within the crypto space.
Risks and Limitations โ ๏ธ
1. Technical Complexity: Minting ordinals has become more accessible in the past months, though these options are not yet universally available across all wallets.
2. Blockchain Size: Since all content is on-chain, this could increase the size of the Bitcoin blockchain, making it less scalable.
3. Fungibility: can impact how we perceive the fungibility of sats, as sats inscribed with valuable content might hold different values๐ฐ
So, will Bitcoin Ordinals be the next big thing, or will they fade into obscurity? Share your thoughts in the comments.

Hello, crypto farmers ๐จโ๐พ Ever heard of Flash Loans in the DeFi space and wondered what they are? Today, we'll take a quick look at how such loans work, and some practical use cases that you could find interesting ๐จโ๐ซ
What is a Flash Loan? โก๐ธ
A Flash Loan is a unique feature designed mostly for developers that allows you to borrow assets without needing collateral, as long as you pay back the loan along with a small fee within the same transaction - specifically, within a single block. Imagine borrowing money and paying it back almost instantly, that's a Flash Loan for you.
How Do Flash Loans Work? ๐ ๏ธ
1. Initial Call: A smart contract requests a Flash Loan from a liquidity pool.
2. Sanity Checks: The pool conducts basic checks to make sure the loan can proceed ๐ตโโ๏ธ
3. Fund Transfer: The amount you requested is transferred to the smart contract.
4. Execute Operation: Here's where the magic happens โจ The smart contract carries out its intended operation, such as arbitrage or liquidation.
5. Repayment: Finally, the loan needs to be repaid to the pool, along with a fee that's usually around 0.05% ๐ธ
All these steps occur in a single block. If the loan isn't repaid, the entire transaction gets undone, ensuring that the pool doesn't lose any funds.
Types of Flash Loans in Aave ๐
ฐ๏ธ
โข Multi-reserve Flash Loan: Allows you to borrow from multiple reserves in a single transaction. This is more complex but can be more powerful ๐ช
โข Single-reserve Flash Loan: Lets you borrow from just one reserve. It's simpler and more gas-efficient โฝ
Use Cases ๐ฏ
โขArbitrage: Take advantage of price differences between assets ๐๐ without needing to own those assets in the first place. Imagine buying low in one market and selling high in another, all within seconds.
โข Liquidations: Liquidation is like a clearance sale. When someone can't pay back their borrowed money, their collateral (like a house in a mortgage) gets "liquidated" or sold at a discounted price ๐ธ You can use a Flash Loan to buy this discounted collateral. Then you can sell it at a higher price, thereby making a profit ๐ค
And there you have it! Now you know what are and how they could be used in your contracts. Stay informed and happy farming! ๐๐จ๐ฐ

Hello, crypto farmers ๐จโ๐พ! Today we are sharing a fun and educational story ๐จโ๐ซ Here's the scoop: The popular Telegram bot Banana Gun recently launched its highly anticipated native token BANANA ๐ Within a few hours, the token price crashed by 99 % due to a bug in the smart contract. The Banana team claimed that the bug slipped through not one but two audits ๐ ๐
But guess who found it in a few seconds? You guessed it right - our bro ChatGPT ๐ค
This post is just for entertainment purposes ๐ Please, donโt neglect professional audits in favor of AI. But maybe it is a good place to start? ๐ค

MisterCh0c on X Banana claimed they had 2 audits. So I asked for a third one to my favorite auditor: ChatGPT And it found the bug ๐ฌ
